About Us

Kelly and Shannon were raised in Northern California. Kelly was raised on a dairy farm and is from a long line of farmers and ranchers. Shannon on the other hand came to love the agricultural lifestyle while growing up on her family’s ranchette. 

Both were very involved in 4-H and FFA growing up and then headed off to college to pursue degrees in agriculture. The couple met while attending college in Chico and married a few years later in 2006.

Together they have been raising black Angus beef cattle since before they married. They now have a cow calf operation and raise their cattle on leased ground in Glenn County. In 2008, at the request of family and friends, they began marketing some of their beef and pork directly to customers.

Kelly and Shannon are very involved in the California Young Farmers and Ranchers program. Shannon currently serves on the state committee and was the 2007 California Farm Bureau Federation’s Discussion Meet State Champion.
